Fei Deng

Mr. Fei Deng is a Partner at Fondee IP Law LLC, combining hands-on engineering experience with intellectual property legal practice. He provides comprehensive patent services in the mechanical and electromechanical sectors.

Mr. Deng's technical focus includes general machinery, automobiles and engines, vehicle electronic systems, construction and mining machinery, plastic processing equipment, textile machinery, packaging technology, and optical lenses. In addition to patent prosecution, he advises clients on patent reexamination and invalidation proceedings, administrative litigation, and Freedom-to-Operate (FTO) analyses.

Prior to entering the IP profession, Mr. Deng worked for six years (1995-2001) at a research institute, focusing on the R&D and production of engineering machinery. He joined the CCPIT Patent and Trademark Law Office in 2001 and subsequently joined Fondee IP as a Partner in 2019.

Over the past two decades, Mr. Deng has prosecuted numerous inbound and outbound patent applications and managed associated IP enforcement cases. His representative clients include Bombardier, Siemens, Putzmeister, Knorr-Bremse, DBT, BMW, Hilti, TRW, Diehl, Engel, and Julius Blum. He also provides corporate IP training and patent mining services based on client requirements.

Mr. Deng completed training programs in European and German patent law at a German law firm in 2003, and participated in an IP practice program in Germany sponsored by the All-China Patent Agents Association in 2013. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Hoisting, Transportation, and Engineering Machinery from the Department of Automotive Engineering at Tongji University. He is fluent in Chinese, English, and German.
