Hongwei Du

Ms. Hongwei Du is a Patent Attorney at Fondee IP Law LLC, focusing on intellectual property protection and strategy in the chemical and materials sectors. Entering the IP field in 2023, she holds the qualification of an Intermediate Intellectual Property Professional.

Ms. Du's technical expertise covers chemical engineering, materials science, and environmental protection, with a specific focus on chemical processes and separation technologies, new energy and power materials, and resource recycling. Her practice encompasses domestic patent drafting, office action responses, and patent proofreading. With extensive experience in patent prosecution, she has successfully handled a large volume of applications and complex office actions, consistently maintaining a high grant rate for her clients. Additionally, she provides strategic consulting services, including patent layout and patent navigation analyses.

Prior to joining Fondee IP in April 2026, Ms. Du practiced at Nanjing Ningzheng Intellectual Property Agency from April 2023 to April 2026, where she developed a solid foundation in patent prosecution and IP consulting.

Her representative clients include corporate entities such as Jiangsu Yongda Power Supply Co., Ltd. and Jiangsu Ningda Environmental Protection Co., Ltd., as well as academic institutions including Changzhou Institute of Technology and Jiangsu University of Technology.

Ms. Du graduated from Nanjing Normal University, earning a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in Applied Chemistry. Her academic background is supported by extensive coursework in advanced organic and inorganic chemistry, physical chemistry, integration of chemical separation units, and green chemistry. She works in Chinese and English.
